. Board of Directors

BECIP operates under the direction of a governing Board, who is made up of current family members, agency, personnel, and past consumers.

Key responsibilities of the Board are to:

1.      Establish policies and make decisions that reflect the requirements of services

2.      Select and support the Executive Director, and review his/her performance

3.      Ensure that programs and services are effective and efficient

4.      Ensure that BECIP complies with all legal requirements

5.      Connect and partner with other human service agencies in the community and their families

BECIP recognizes the need for input from parents into various parts of our program.  Any parents interested in participating on, or wanting more information, please contact the Executive Director at BECIP.

Volunteers are always welcome!!

Admissions and Discharge Committee

Referrals for BECIP services are made by professionals in the community or by family members by contacting the office directly.  An Admission and Discharge Committee that is coordinated by the Executive Director reviews all referrals.  Members of the committee include representatives from local School Divisions, Community Living Division of the Department of Social Services, and Prairie North Regional Health Authority.

An initial home visit is made to the family and an application and parent agreement is required to be placed on a waiting list until an available space is open.  Once your child is admitted into the program you can expect home visits to commence.
